Dentures are a popular choice for those who are missing some or all of their natural teeth. If you are looking for a great way to restore both functionality and aesthetics to your smile, consider dentures. Here are the basics:

Dentures come in two forms: complete and partial. Complete dentures are a substitute for all of your teeth, whether on your lower or upper arch or both. Partial dentures replace one or more missing teeth in a row. Both appliances have a pink base that looks like gum tissue, and both are removable.

Dentures might feel a little strange when you first start to wear them, but you’ll get used to that in time. Dr. Haefner may need to perform a slight adjustment within the first few weeks to help you feel more comfortable. Denture adhesive may also help your appliance to fit more snugly in your mouth.

Depending on what Dr. Haefner recommends, you may only remove your dentures to clean them, or you may need to soak them in a denture solution at night while you sleep.
