Dr. Wendy Haefner graduated with her bachelor’s degree from Case Western Reserve University in 2001. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University at Buffalo in 2007. Dr. Haefner continues her education in the dental field every month, taking over 50 hours of continuing education every year. Dr. Haefner is a AIAOMT which is Accredited member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine. She has been a member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology since 2014. Dr. Haefner is also a SMART Certified dentist with IAOMT.  Dr. Haefner strives to provide excellence in dental care and help patients feel comfortable with their treatment. She is committed to staying current on new techniques and what is best for patients.

Dr. Haefner and her husband, Andrew, have been married for Twelve years. They have two young sons, Dylan and Hudson. When she isn’t working to improve your smile, you can often find Dr. Haefner exercising, spending time with family, going to local events and starting a vegetable garden.

 

 

Jing Zhou, DDS, Phd, MSD

Dr. Zhou is passionate about offering the best smiles and committed to provide the highest standard of care to iSmile Mathis Ferry Dentistry!

Dr. Zhou earned her dental degree in 1999 from West China University of Medical Sciences.  She then studied for a PhD. in Dental Science, a Master Degree and Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics at Indiana University School of Dentistry.  She practices and teaches as an associate professor of the orthodontics at the Medical University of South Carolina since 2008.  She is also the orthodontist of the Craniofacial Anomalies and Cleft Palate clinical care team of MUSC children’s hospital.

Dr. Zhou is proud to be one of the few Board certified Orthodontist in the low country area.  This certification demonstrates the orthodontist’s professional judgment, skills and knowledge meet the highest level of patient care.  Dr. Zhou is also honored to be an affiliate member of the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontia—an organization founded over 100 years ago by a small group of orthodontists who decided to set high professional standards to carry on the spirit of Dr. Edward Angle, the father of Orthodontics.  This is an invitation only society of less than 500 members worldwide.  The entry process to become a member, which includes both clinical   and study components, is rigorous and extensive, but rewarding.  Every year, this small group of orthodontists meet to criticize and learn from each other.
